Pureology Hydrate System
Fine hair is easily desiccated by daily aggressors and requires products that moisturize to nourish, soften and protect. Pureology Serious Colour Care welcomes two new products to the award winning Hydrate System, Hydrate LightCondition and Hydrate HydraWhip, created for fine colour-treated hair in need of moisture while protecting colour radiance. The new tingling-free, silky cream condition and velvet soft soufflé provide lightweight moisture for finer hair types and clients sensitive to menthol.
Many moisturizing products tend to be heavy on fine hair, making it limp and appear thinner and greasy. To address this need, Hydrate LightCondition and Hydrate HydraWhip provide moisture that will not weigh down hair, but provides nourishment to soften and protect using organic botanicals of peppermint, rosemary, sage, and green tea to provide condition and shine for light, naturally radiant and healthy hair. The exclusive AntiFadeComplex® neutralizes free radicals to maximize colour retention.
The new Hydrate LightCondition contains Hydrating Micro-Emulsion Technology formulas to deliver moisture from within, improving hair condition. Natural jojoba and shea butters, with strengthening multi-weight proteins of soy, oat and wheat moisturize and restore suppleness without weighing down fine hair. Hydrate HydraWhip contains an emollient-rich soufflé with avocado, jojoba and shea butters to restore moisture and softness to fine colour-treated hair from root to tip.
The complete Hydrate system includes the following products:
- NEW Hydrate LightCondition
- NEW Hydrate HydraWhip
- HydrateShampoo®
- HydrateCondition®
- Hydrate HydraCure®
- Hydrate ShineMax®
I was lucky enough to receive samples of the Hydrate LightCondition and the Hydrate HydraWhip. Both products work great on my dainty hair strands, but the Hydrate HydraWhip was my favorite of the two.
**Just like your favorite magazine editors I receive samples for consideration...see the full disclosure**

I'm Juicing!
My ladies from LCHF (Long Hair Care Forum) know what the Juice is, but for those of you know have no idea what I'm talking about... the Juice is any moisturizer that was originally created for Jheri Curls. Yup, Jheri Curl Juice! So when I say I'm Juicing, that means I'm using Jheri curl juice on my hair. Ask anyone who had a Jheri curl back in the day and they will tell you that their hair grew like crazy when they had the Jheri curl. It wasn't the style, it was the moisturization. Jheri Curl Juices use glycerin as the main moisturization ingredient and hair loves it! A few of the favorite juices of my fellow Nikos cousins are Care Free Curl Gold
Hopefully, Juicing will get my nape on track! I'll be sure to keep ya posted!

Mizani Coconut Souffle Review
Remember back in June of last year when I told you guys about the new products coming from Mizani? If not, check here. Anyway, I finally picked up the Mizani Coconut Souffle Light Moisturizing Hairdress ($14.99) on a trip to my local beauty supply store.
Product Description: New whipped-texture, Coconut Soufflé Light Moisturizing Hairdress disperses evenly and absorbs quickly for touchably soft waves and curls. Using a concentrated, natural-oil blend of coconut and camellina oils, it instantly envelops each strand and infuses it with uniform moisture from the inside out.
AHS Thoughts: This is not a cheapie cream, but it's still not crazy expensive at $14.99 (maybe it might vary a little but that's how much I paid). Frankly, I'm not in love with it. I picked the Coconut Souffle over the Butter Rich Deep Nourishing Hairdress

Oyin Handmade Juices & Berries - Hair Closet Review
Now that I've been on this Mega-Tek kick, wearing nothing but buns I've been spritzing on a moisturizer daily. I've been using Oyin Handmade Juices & Berries, for some reason when I first got this product I liked it but I wasn't head over heels in love with it. Now I can't get enough, my bottle is almost gone and I stalked to re-launch of the Oyin site just to make sure I would have a new bottle by the time this one is empty.
Oyin Handmade Juices & Berries is my daily moisturizer and I follow it up with an oil. My hair loves this stuff, it's amazing and as soon as I spray it on my hair it's super soft and feels moist and ready to be bunned up. I'm hoping this stuff can help me retain every centimeter of my growth.
Visit OyinHandmade.com to purchase for just $11.00

Humidifier & Hair Care
I finally got a humidifier. I did not buy the humidifier for my hair, if that's what you were thinking, I purchased it because the heat in my apartment is very drying. So drying that I would wake up in the middle of the night with terribly dry nares, dry lips, and a dry throat, can you imagine? My skin didn't feel dry, but just about everything else did. Once I got my humidifier I placed it in my bedroom and I've been running it whenever I sleep, the dry nose, lips, and throat are a thing of the past and I'm sleeping way better.
Feeling kind of creative, I decided to check around and see if there are any other uses for my humidifier (read: can I use it to amp up any of my beauty treatments). Here is what I found:
Humifidiers can help rid your hair of static because it feeds the air moisture and in turn the moisture gets to your hair.
Note: The photo is the exact one that I have, it has a cool mist and warm mist option. I've been using the warm mist option. It's a Venta Sonic.

I have a hard time thinking it would really help my hair especially since I sleep with a scarf covering my hair, but maybe I will see a difference in my skin. If anything I'll be sure to let you know.
